Summer 2025, Camila was cast in one of her dream shows. She headed up to Maine to play Rosalia/ us Anita in West Side Story at Maine State Music Theatre. She had the privilege of stepping into the role of Anita during the end of the run. Pics & vids, if ya scroll to my insta feed!
NY THEATRE FESTIVAL
Camila will be participating in the New York Theatre Festival, Feburary of 2025. She will be in a piece called ‘Ace of Swords.’ The tale of King Arthur, in an unconventional way. Written & Directed by Javier Mederos & Andres Larrea.
SEE ME IN SOUTH PACIFIC
Camila is overjoyed to be returning to the Fulton Theatre and Maine State Music Theatre as Janet McGreggor/ us Dinah Murphy in their co-production of South Pacific. Running April 19 – June 22 2024.
SOMETHING ROTTEN
Hot off of her amazing summer in Maine, Camila is beyond grateful to announce that she will be making her Fulton debut as the female swing in their Fall production of Something Rotten; directed & choreographed by Marc Robin.
YOUNG LORDS WORKSHOP
As the year goes on, Camila is so excited to announce that she will be playing ‘Gloria,’ a young activist in early to mid 70’s, New York City, in a reading of ‘The Young Lords Musical ‘ at The Producer’s Club, April 2025. Written by Bob Rossi and Directed by the legendary Alex Sanchez.
'KAY MOSTYN' AT JUDSON
She’s headed to the Nile folks! Camila will be in North Carolina, October 2024, joining Judson Theatre Company’s production of Agatha Christie’s Murder on the Nile as heiress and newlywed ‘Kay Mostyn.’
BEST LEADING ACTRESS
Fall of 2023; Camila has been nominated for Best Leading Actress in a Musical by the ‘Broadway World, Miami Metro Awards.’ This nomination was for her portrayal of Sally Bowles in Loxen Production’s ‘Cabaret.’
MSMT SINGER 2023
Post graduation, Camila is headed off to Maine State Music Theatre. MSMT Singers are a group of 8 emerging artists who represent MSMT for the summer. She will be seen in Titanic, Alice in Wonderland, 9 to 5, & more!
Camila V Romero is a Cuban-American actor, singer & dancer, based in NYC. Originally hailing from Miami, FL, she is fluent in Spanish, English & the very nuanced – Spanglish. Dale. She attended Webster conservatory but ultimately graduated from the University of Miami in the spring of 2023 with a B.S.C. in Creative Advertising & Graphic Design.
Since graduating Camila has performed at various theatres around the US. Most recently she was seen playing Rosalia and u/s Anita in Maine State Music Theatre’s production of West Side Story.
Camila’s love for performing began through flamenco. Her mother set her up with some heels & a pair of castanets, threw her on stage & she never looked back. That love led into a passion for acting & story telling. Through that passion she has been lucky enough to meet amazing peers, mentors, friends, and learn more about herself & the kind of human she wants to be in this industry…which is a kind and empathetic one.
